A Florida house has a coffin in the bathroom, a Ouija board on the wall, and creepy clowns watching you sleep.
The eerie layout of the Phantom History House, a new inn in Hillsborough County, may seem like a nightmare to some and a fun adventure to others.
Owners Steve Blanchard and Tim Hinton said the place would look like a modern Victorian building with "a touch of Gothic".
"We always say we're scary but comfortable, cool but stylish," Blanchard said.
"It's something we're striving for.
The idea came from Blanchard's Paranormal History podcast. He said He's always loved anything Halloween or gothic related. "I'm not interested in the paranormal, but I love Disney and storytelling," Hinton said.
Together they've transformed a beautiful home into an exclusive haunted house with rooms starting at $175 a night. Daring guests can choose one of four themed rooms.
The four main rooms include the Graveyard Room, Portrait Room, Ouija Boardroom and Castle Room with rows of remote controlled candles.
The bathrooms are also themed, allowing guests to relax and bathe in peace. The couple also have media players and tarot cards to entertain guests.
They said they love sharing the ghost stories of the people who visit. "If you'd like to tell us a ghost story from your childhood, we'd love to hear it," Hinton said.
Booking information is available online.
